FIFA 16 was the top selling video game in the U.K. in 2015 and is among the top selling globally.
But while EA Sports is busy working on the next successor FIFA 17, retailers have been busy giving discount on the already aging FIFA 16.
Microsoft is the latest company to slash the price for FIFA 16 on the Xbox One platform. The retail cost for the game is $59.99, but Xbox One owners can download a copy from the Xbox Live store for $30.
FIFA 16 is the best ever in the franchise history with massively improved gameplay and graphics. The game also plays very well on Microsoft next generation console, the Xbox One.
As a bonus Xbox Live Gold members can also picked up a free copy of EA's Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

FIFA 16 was the best-selling game on Amazon last year
FIFA 16 was the best-selling game on Amazon last year, and the 10th best-selling item across its entire product line-up, the retailer has revealed.
While sales figures for the game have not been revealed, EA's latest football game managed to outsell Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, which landed at No.2 in Amazon's best-selling video games of 2015, and Fallout 4 at No.3.
The retailer's report also suggests that Grand Theft Auto V was the fourth best-selling game of the year, with FIFA 15 in at No.5. Sales data is said to have been recorded between January 1, 2015-December 13, 2015.
The best-selling game in the run-up to Christmas, however, (which Amazon says is based on unit sales between November 1-December 13) was Fallout 4, ahead of Black Ops 3 at No.2 and Star Wars Battlefront at No.3.FIFA 16
It isn't yet known which game came out on top in the UK across all retailers.
Black Ops 3, meanwhile, continues to dominate the top of the weekly UK charts, holding on to the top spot for four weeks in a row to become the first No.1 of 2016.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team™ - Team of the Week
Each week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competition around the world. This collection of players is available to challenge in FUT.
On Saturday, Bayern Munich comfortably defeated VfB Stuttgart 4-0. In typical Bayern fashion, it was a complete team effort, with four different goal-scorers. Thomas Müller scored the club's fourth goal after helping set-up two earlier in the match. After 12 games, Bayern sits at the top of the Bundesliga, five points ahead of second-place Borussia Dortmund.
Neymar Jr. earned his second in-form after scoring twice in FC Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Villarreal. The 23-year-old leads La Liga with 11 goals in 10 matches played while FC Barcelona sits in first, three points ahead of Real Madrid.
Then on Sunday, Olympique Lyon took care of St. Etienne 3-0 with Alexandre Lacazette scoring all three goals for his side. The victory saw the club move into second place in Ligue 1, but trail leaders Paris Saint-Germain by 10 points.

Alex Morgan: U.S. star shares FIFA 16 cover with Lionel Messi
"I know people all over the world play this game and I'm really excited that FIFA 16 is putting such an important spotlight on women's soccer.
"And now to share the cover with today's greatest player is surreal."
Morgan played an integral part in the USWNT's World Cup triumph in July that saw it lift the trophy after beating Japan 5-2 in the final.

Her latest medal was another in the long list of personal and team achievements Morgan has accumulated over the course of her career -- including an Olympic Gold, three Algarve Cups and a CONCACAF Player of the Year Award.
Her increasing worldwide popularity, and that of women's football in general, meant it was an easy decision to stand her alongside Messi.
The version of the game that features Morgan and Messi will be sold across North America, though all-time leading scorer for the Canadian national team, Christine Sinclair will feature on the cover sold in Canada.
"As soon as we knew Women's National Teams were joining FIFA 16, we immediately recognized that Christine and Alex would be the perfect cover athletes based on their accomplishments and what they represent for their respective countries and the sport of women's soccer," said David Pekush, senior manager of North America marketing for EA SPORTS.
"They are exhilarating players and exude heart and courage on the pitch, and we are extremely proud to be working with them this year."
In another major boost for women's soccer, Australia defender Stephanie Catley, just 21-years-old, will feature alongside Messi on the cover of the version sold Down Under.
"Words can't describe the excitement I'm feeling about being on the cover of FIFA 16, it's a dream come true!" said Catley.

FIFA 16 release date and specs leaked: September 22 to see new game arrive
EA Sports is set to release the most awaited FIFA 16 game in the United States across several platforms on September 22.
Based on an announcement posted on the official FIFA 16 page, EA Sports will stay true to its initial revelation in the E3 presentation and release an improved and more exciting game. Loyal gamers can expect new animations and features, according to the International Business Times (IBT).
On the FIFA video game site, EA has initiated a countdown to June 15, when E3 2015 is set to begin officially, Gotta Be Mobile says.
Although IBT says the FIFA 16 release date is September 22, Gotta Be Mobile and other sources say EA will release the game on September 25 on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Fans can pre-order the said game.www.fifa14service.com
The upcoming FIFA 16 will still be available for older consoles, but EA also added new features which are exclusive for the new consoles Xbox One and PS4. Players using the latest consoles will be able to get a better gaming experience than those using Xbox 360 and PS3.
Despite EA's effort to keep the FIFA 16 gameplay under wraps, leaked information suggest that Women's International teams are already included. There have also been rumors about the game having a story mode to allow gamers to create their own characters for the World Cup, the report relayed.
In addition, the player ratings for some of the famous football players in FIFA 16 were also unveiled. Based on captured footage reported by Gameranx, the top players in the game include Lionel Messi, Ronado, Neymar, Suarez, and Bale, respectively.www.gmusd.com
Several FIFA 16 features have already been leaked, but one thing that still cannot be confirmed is the game's demo release. The demo announcement will most likely be done before the release date, the report stated.

New FIFA 16 move features Lionel Messi s No Touch Dribbling
The upcoming FIFA 16 just got a new feature. A new sleek move will be coming to the game, football superstar Lionel Messi's "No Touch Dribbling".
The new move makes the player temporarily let the ball stand and change in direction of the stance, thereby faking a turn in his run, but then changing back into a certain direction and going back into the ball.www.fifacoinsbuy.co
With Messi as the master of this signature move, EA Sports had him demonstrate how the move is done, and he was motion-captured using state of the art technology that perfectly recreates his movements thereby giving players the most realistic feel of pulling off the move in the game.
Messi explained how the move is done. In the promotional video posted on YouTube by EA Sports, he said: "First, I fake to the left or right with my leg, then in the direction where the defender is standing. I always try to wrong-foot him, so I can have a better chance of gaining the advantage."
He further explained: "When one is face to face there is always more room and it is much more difficult for the defender because the attacker has more chances to break away in any direction."
The "No Touch Dribbling" move is not exclusive to Messi, as it can be used by any player, though the success rate is still dependent on how skilled the player is.
FIFA 16features, for the first time in franchise history, players form the Womens National Teams. Teams available to play are from Germany, USA, France, Sweden, England, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Spain, China, and Mexico. However, fantasy matchups of Mens National Teams versus Womens National Teams are not possible since the ladies can only be pit against their fellow female players.
FIFA 16 comes to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles, as well as on PC this coming September 22.
